is the last hope for a virginia woman an death row. brian todd that has story. >> reporter: from virginia east death row, teresa sings for divine intervention. ♪ >> reporter: no miracles, yet. virginia governor refuses to slay the execution. if the supreme court doesn't intervene, lewis will die by lethal injection next thursday. i spoke with her before the ruling. because of the sensitivity of the case, it's limited to predetermined questions for her. we are not allowed to bring cameras into the facility where she was held. we are speaking to her on phone. if you could say anything to the governor at this point, what would you tell him? >> caller: i would tell the governor, if i could speak to him one-on-one how sorry i am. what happened to two people that i loved very much. and i just wish i could take it back. i am sorry to the people i hurt in the process. >> she pleaded guilty to the murder of her husband and stepson in their home in virginia. this was a crime of conspiracy. she didn't fire the shots. the two men who did only got life sentences. the judge called teresa lewis the head. h

're right. i'm about 20 miles outside of washington, d.c. right now. virginia, a democratic state in 2008. president obama took it back, however, in 2009, t.j., we saw republicans take back the governorship. republicans are hoping to pick up a couple seats in this state in their quest for at least 39 seats. the number, t.j., that they need to take back the house of representatives. you're right i got to spend about a half hour with republican national committee chairman michael steele, t.j., as we grove out here, very interesting things to say to me. >> we have watched as this government has ignored the people. and has acted in a way in which they have dismissed, they have name called, and they have just put out of their minds what's important. what's important to america. well, guess what? we take the country back by firing pelosi. we take the country back by retiring harry reid. >> reporter: there you go. there's michael steele in washington, d.c. right before he left to head into virginia, t.j. let me tell you, a couple things he had to say to me on the way out here to fairfax, 20 mime

virginia, across pennsylvania, ohio. let's do this. let's go to the video from the marcellus shale coalition. the gas deposit could be worth $2 trillion i today's prices. shale gas production already accounts for about one-fifth of the country's gas production, and the current rate is expected to provide half of the nation's gas by 2030. this was in june we got this report from our affiliate ofwja out of clead rfield, pennsylvan, and there was a leak and polluted drilling water pouring out for 16 hours. no one lived nearby, and no one was injured. no homes within a mile of that. still, these are the stakes. there are massive economic consequences at a time when we are moving more in the direction of natural gas and looking for a way to be energy independent inside the u.s. >> the big question is whether or not tis process is safe, and the answer depends on whom you ask. chris tucker is a spokesman for energy in-depth, which reps natural gas producers from washington, and josh forks, a fill maker behind "gas d.land." tell us why you made this documentary, josh, and what you found. >
